LexisNexis TotalPatent allows users to search using a wide range of
Proximity Operators:

 

Use the W/n connector to find documents with search words that appear
within n words of each other. The value of n can be any number up to
255.

Use the W/p connector to find documents with search words that appear
within the same paragraph.

Use the W/s connector to find documents with search words that appear
within the same sentence.

The NOT W/n connector finds documents in which the first search word is
found. The second word need not be in the document, but if it is, it
cannot be within n words of the first word.

I am looking for a patent database which allows searching by proximity
operators (i.e. the ability to search for A and B within n words of each
other). Any suggestions?

 

I am familiar with Delphion, where the operator would be A <near/5> B to
search for A and B within 5 words of each other. I assume there are
other (lower cost?) options.
