RE: [PIUG List] search problem, CASRN; catalogs

I am surprised that the DB producer would actually delete the record instead
of simply flagging it with an inactivation date. Why throw away
information? To save disc space?

6. The easiest method would be for the database producer to create a
database of removed cpds with an identifying number connecting them to
original reference until there is a way for all of them to have Registry
Numbers -
