These are both US application numbers, in the series 11 range. There is
no guarantee that there will ever be a corresponding publication, for a
variety of reasons. Equally, you should not assume that the first
publication will be a US one - it is quite possible that the applicant
may use their US filing to claim priority into other national patenting
systems and/or the PCT, in which case you may see another country's
unexamined application or a WO-A application published first.
Going by the dates, assuming these are the earliest application dates,
the documents corresponding to 11/556504 should publish around May 2008,
and the 11/685351 case should publish September 2008. If there are
earlier non-US priorities, I would have expected to see an 18-month
document published already, around May 2007 and September 2007,
respectively.
One of the easiest ways of monitoring this sort of thing is to put the
application number into an INPADOC alert - that way, you will get a hit
irrespective of the authority which publishes first.
