[PIUG List] Translation of JP PCT's

Dear Colleagues,

No, it is no longer true to say
"(Japanese) PCTs are distributed as images only , not mixed mode text
and images". The situation changed earlier this year, though for
older Japanese PCTs this is still the case.

Japanese text is now available for new Japanese PCTs through the
portal mentioned by Susan.

The vendors you mention by the way, are not the only ones serving
this market. My own firm Rising Sun Communications has been supplying
Machine Translations and Post-Edited Machine Translations (SUPER-
MATS) of Japanese National Patent Applications , PCTs and Priority
Documents since the 1990's, (and also by the way since Summer 2007,
Post-Edited Machine Translations of Chinese National Applications and
PCTs).

However, we currently only serve the (bio)chemical and pharmaceutical
sector.
