Dear Robin,
Thank you for taking the time to clarify the situation.
With respect to your other comment,

I think that this is a reflection of the known (and increasing)
divergence between the original Level 1 servers based in national member
states and the Level 2 server which mounts the "Worldwide" file, based
on the DocDB backbone data. Some of the Level 1 servers (available
though the URL in the form http://cc.espacenet.com, where cc is a
country code other than EP) are investigating loads of searchable full
text, and others (such as SE I believe) have already gone much further
back with their bibliographic data content compared to the original
espacenet model of loading a rolling two-year file. Consequently, you
may well find that you can obtain older bibliographic data for a
specific country from its Level 1 server than you can searching the same
country's documents in the Worldwide file. It doesn't surprise me to
hear that this extension has included additional PDFs, such as the FR-B
stage on the French Level 1 server.
