According to today's (27 February 2008) Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Japan will set
up an "All Japan" system for developing new pharmaceuticals and new
therapies related to the iPS stem cells discovered by Shinya Nakayama. This
system will include central administration of related patents rights. The
new system is slated to begin in Fiscal 2009.
