In short there isn't one available yet. IP Australia (Aust Patent Office)
have just released a beta version of a new web-based searching tool called
AusPat (www.ipaustralia.gov.au/auspat). This will eventually give access
to file histories but that isn't scheduled to be an available option until
about 2010.

In the meantime, you need to order the file histories from IP Australia
directly. Best way is to send an email to assist_at_ipaustralia.gov.au
requesting all documents on file under an FOI request. The wording I use
is as follows:

To whom it may concern,

We request under Sections 55 and 58 of the Patents Act 1990, copies of all
the documents available to us (including the priority documents, prior art
and opposition correspondence) on file in respect of:

AU 123456 [Title], [Patent]

Please send the documents to :

One of the last requests I made came at a charge of AU$200 for copying 6
documents from the same file + AU$1/page thereafter + AU$50/patent
specification. Not cheap but the only route that I know of currently.
Maybe one of the other Australian PIUG Users could add comment if they
know of any other way.
