Dear Andrea,

Questel's QPAT service offers multiple ways to produce results without
duplicate results.

Search in QPAT's default FamPat bibliographic database, and you retrieve
invention-based FamPat family records that contain all the data from all
the family members (no single surrogate - you get it all), so there are
no duplicates. FamPat covers 78 countries, major countries back to the
1920s.

A FamPat family is often stricter than an Inpadoc family, which can
yield a family with related, yet significantly different, inventions.
In cases where you need the broader view for a particular patent, you
can always invoke the extended Inpadoc family with a single mouse click.

Search in multiple full-text databases, and you can easily group your
results into FamPat families, again at the click of your mouse. Again,
no duplicates. Search in a single full-text database, and the FamPat
family is displayed in the record.

If you will be attending the upcoming PIUG NE Conference in New
Brunswick, please either stop by the Questel booth or attend our QPAT
workshop the afternoon of Wednesday 15 October at 1 PM. You can
register by emailing sames_at_questel.com
<mailto:sames_at_questel.com?subject=PIUG%20NE%202008%20QPAT%20Workshop%20R
egistration> .

If you won't be at the conference, we will be happy to arrange a live or
WebEx demo for you and your colleagues.

Sincerely,

Elliott Linder
