Most (not all) US listed companies are required to show this informaiton in=
a SEC 13-D filing, tender offer. 8-K/A or 10-K after May 1996. So hopeful=
ly, the person requesting such information doesn't need historical data bef=
ore 1996. Before 1996, it might be derrived from company news data or cour=
t proceedings and could be very inconsistent. Unfortunately, these royalty =
rates and other sensitive materials are sometimes deleted from the exhibit =

before you buy" sample charts with their selected data are available for yo=
u to manipulate on the web. http://www.royaltystat.com/documents.cfm. The=
field tags are helpful when talking with other suppliers. Subscribers can =
export this data into an exel spreadsheet for further manipulation. A fina=
l caveat, the patent referred to in "Agreement" or the "Licensed Intangible=
" does not include a patent number. By the way, I don't work for any compa=
nies I have mentioned or benefit from my association with them. When putti=
ng together reports and spreadsheets, it is helpful to use as many sources =
as your time and/or client's budget will allow. Unlike some database produ=
cers who acquire and load the data tapes and don't vary much in the quality=
of their data, these companies cover different vertical market sectors and=
vary in the depth of their coverage and quality of information according t=
o the sources they have used: SEC reports, news databases, company announc=
ements, etc. So, it's best to check several and see what available before =
making any promises or designing your report report format for analysis.
