I missed the original email on this topic. Not all of the manufacturers
are making it easy to excercise the Windows XP downgrade option. Dell
does not offer this service on all models.
 
If anyone needs assistance with downgrading a machine from Vista to XP,
you can take a look at my offer on www.xpdowngrade.com
 
I also keep an inventory of Dell PC's and laptops that ship with Windows
XP Pro and Home Edition.

I just received an email from Dell promoting the Windows Downgrade
Service on its new notebook and desktop computers.

  

Yes, you can buy a computer with Windows Vista preinstalled and replace
Vista with Windows XP.
