[PIUG List] 2008 PIUG NE Conference

The national PIUG meeting is over and it is time to get started on the 2008
PIUG NE Conference. We are trying a 4 day format this year. And we have an
even better space for the exhibit room this year!

Dates: M-Th October 13-16, 2008
Where: Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick NJ

Monday October 13: STN Patent Forum
Tuesday October 14: PIUG NE Conference
Wednesday, October 15: Vendor workshops and trainings
Thursday, October 16: Thomson Reuters workshops/training

Meeting Chair: Adrienne Shanler
Meeting Co-chair: Zhifu Shu (ExxonMobil)
Program Chair: Rick Williams (Vertex Pharmaceuticals)
Fundraising: Zhifu Shu (ExxonMobil)

We need volunteers for the program committee, exhibits, evaluations, travel,
registration chair and committee, web pages, signage, and meeting book.

Meeting Expectations will be handling the AV. Bios, abstracts and
Powerpoint presentations will be collected in a similar fashion to the
national meeting. The Program Committee will not have to do it.

To have a workshop, you must be a sponsor. Registration rates and
sponsorship levels will probably be the same as last year. Workshop
arrangements same as last year. People prefer training in the workshops.

Shall I try to get the USPTO to bring the US Classification Workshop to New
Brunswick? How about one focused strictly on chemistry or pharmaceuticals
as a workshop or presentation?
