[PIUG List] PIUG-L configuration matters - 2

I wrote: "The PIUG Discussion List configuration has two options that we
have weighed. The issue revolves around the "Reply-to" address that comes
with each PIUG-L posting. It is currently set up so that the reply-to
address is "the message sender" [leading to receipt of out of office
messages by the sender] ... The alternative configuration is to have the
list address as the "reply-to" address. The problem with this default is
that [personal] messages occasionally go to the list by accident rather than
to the individual sender as wished by the "hasty" respondent [and then are
followed up by apology messages]."
 
I have received four responses so far, split evenly and strongly supporting
each of the two options. If you want your opinion heard, please send your
messages directly to me (as is the current reply-to default) and I will
summarize the input on PIUG-L. I think this would be better than increasing
the chatter on the list on this matter, especially since this whole
discussion revolves around reducing hassle for PIUG Discussion List
participants.
