ACS Article about PIUG's Anniversary Meeting in May

I want everyone to be aware that our meeting was covered by the American
Chemical Society this year and an article was just published in the June
9, 2008 issue of Chemical & Engineering News. Our Keynote Speaker this
year was Katie Hunt, Immediate Past President of ACS and a colleague of
mine. Her talk was very upbeat and was referred to throughout the meeting
by various speakers as well as attendees. Perhaps talks such as this,
with accompanying widespread publicity will aid in the growth of our
organization as it moves forward. Be sure to mark your calendars for May
2 - May 7, 2009 for next year's meeting in San Antonio, TX and remember to
watch for registration announcements at the end of this year and register
early. This year our attendance reached 392 with over 130 first time
attendees and you want to make sure you do not get turned away if the
meeting registration gets closed out. I hope to see you at the Hyatt
Regency San Antonio next year.
