Are you aware that the "Intellectual Property Publishing House" (IPPH) of
SIPO launched a similar automatic Chinese-to-English translation tool? You
can test this at http://english.cnipr.com/enpat. (Go to the "C-Pat Search"
interface.)

If you search for a patent on sipo, there is now a new button "Machine
Translation".

Using Firefox, it didn't work - some xslt stylesheet error - but with
Internet Explorer it worked.

The ones I checked produced an understandable English.
