The following announcement appears at
http://ebiz1.uspto.gov/oems25p/index.html :

" New! Presentation patents may ... be order [sic] on the web."

You might ask, what is a "Presentation Patent"?

USPTO explains that "a Presentation Patent is a certified copy of the
first page of an issued patent. The document is photocopied onto 24 lb.
card stock, has a unique certification statement, a special ribbon and
seal placement, and is suitable for framing."

It costs $25.

The news is that now you can order them online, through the OEMS
system. Previously you could only order them on paper.

I recall ordering one a few years ago with the plan of giving it to a
client. The way it was back then, it did not look very fancy. There
wasn't a ribbon, only an embossed seal and a scrawled illegible
signature. I did not feel I could give it to the client, and instead I
ordered one of those plaques from a third-party provider.

But maybe the PPs look better now. Has anybody ordered one recently?
Do they actually look nice nowadays?
