Anacubis VLX Export Enhancement
New productivity tool for full-text scanning
PatReader is a new visualization tool for quick and accurate
scanning of full-text patents. It extracts and synthesizes all relevant
information, and lays out the document in a convenient two-column format
with elements on the left linked to the full-text on the right.
Features include:
Assisted Reading
With a two column layout, the left column identifies key elements such as inventors, assignees, patent objectives, advantages and independent claims with right hand column view of the corresponding text.
Text Highlighting
Color coding quickly distinguishes between text that describes the patent objective, advantages or independent claims.
Synthetic Views
Browse easily from the items tagged by the synthetic view to the retrieved results. Independent claims are identified and linked. Links from phrases found to the precise location of the phrases in the full-text of the patent. Links hard-to-find information, such as patent numbers, buried in the full-text of the patents.
English language results from a search in one of the full-text files,
EPAPAT, EPBPAT, PCTFULL, USPAT and USAPPS can be easily exported into
PatReader. After an online search in one of the full-text files, the EXPORT
feature is used to export the results, as well as the corresponding full-text
records into PatReader. An email will be sent to you when the results
are available in PatReader. SDI results can also be exported into PatReader.

PatentExaminer
was launched only a couple of months ago and the customer response have
been very positive. Not only do they appreciate its visualization and
examination aspects showing full-text patents and original facsimile
patents side-by-side, but it is also seen as a fantastic scanning tool.
Using PatentExaminer’s display flexibility, patent text as well
as the drawing pages can be simultaneously displayed, and a large set
of patent records can be quickly scanned.
Because customers see this as a very unique and useful way of using
PatentExaminer, they have requested to have this at a fixed cost. So
as a result, we are now offering fixed annual PatentExaminer subscriptions
to our customer using PlusPat in our Fixed Fee plans. If you are interested

While exporting PlusPat results to anacubis is not new, exporting enhancements in the anacubis VLX format is. Now Questel•Orbit customers using PlusPat via Qweb, Imagination, and QPAT can now export their results in the anacubis VLX format, greatly simplifying importing the results directly into the anacubis desktop software.
Not only has the export/import process been simplified, but all PlusPat record information is included in the export allowing comprehensive analysis possibilities in the anacubis desktop software.
With the anacubis desktop, the complex relationships in patents - from cited references, connections between assignees and inventors, and even patent families, can instantly be understood. Contact anacubis (www.anacubis.com) directly for more information on their desktop solutions.
Customers with Fixed Fee which include PlusPat, and QPAT subscribers can export PlusPat results to anacubis at no additional cost. If you are not yet a Fixed Fee customer but are interested in exporting results to anacubis, the per-record price of 30 USD/Euros, is a substantial reduction in the standard PlusPat display.
Exporting from QPAT can be done by selecting the records and choosing the anacubis option from the Export service. For online customers, the new EXPORT feature and easy-to-use menu can be used. In the EXPORT menu on the Page Setting menu – simply choose option 8, “ 8 – Anacubis”, and the results will be emailed to you in a few minutes.
