New
Feature: Electronic Offline Display
This new feature lets
you:
- Email search results
to as many as six email addresses
- Choose from any
one of the following delivery formats: text, PDF, XML, RTF
- Display records
in a variety of Page Styles
Electronic Offline
records are delivered within two hours of your request.
The following Page
Styles are available with Electronic Offline delivery:
- Fields Tags and
without Page Breaks (pset 1)
- Fields Tags and
with Page Breaks (pset 2)
- Full Field Names,
Indented Text and without Page Breaks (pset 3)
- Full Field Names,
Indented Text and with Page Breaks (pset 4)
- Report Format -
a PDF report with document navigation (pset 5)
Here is the command
syntax for using this new feature:
pr (format
/ fields) (records) <img> email <ascii / pdf/ rtf / xml>
pset #; ti (title) ;email (invokes prompting for addresses)
Examples:
pr max 1-15
img email pdf pset 4; ti catalyst project
Offline print in MAX
format for records 1-15 with images, email in PDF format, display in page
style 4 (Full Field Names, Indented Text and with Page Breaks), with the
title “catalyst project”. Will default to sending to stored
email address.
pr ti pn pa
pr set email rtf pset 2; ti library; email
Offline print of the
fields: Title, Patent Number, Patent Assignee, Priority Details, for the
complete set of records, email in RTF format, display in page style 2
(Fields Tags and with Page Breaks), with the title “library”.
The trailing email option will generate prompting for entering multiple
email addresses. |

Report Record Page Style Now Available in Additional Databases and the New
PlusPat Family Report
The user-friendly PDF Report formatting
is now available in PlusPat, EPAPAT, EPBPAT, PCTFULL, USPAT, USAPPS, FRPAT
and APPALERT.
This Report format includes a table of
contents with Patent Number, Title, and Assignee information for each
record, that offers hypertext link navigation to a “front-page”
document display.
This record format is available with SDI Alerts and the
newly released Electronic Offline Delivery feature.
To request delivery of this Report format:
- In QWEB:
on the Create SDI screen, choose the Report
(available on selected databases) option from the Page
Style
drop-down menu.
- From command-line
entry: include the PSET 5 option in your SDI request
or Offline delivery request (PR command).
A new PlusPat Family
Report PDF display is now available with the SDI Alerts. This display
is perfect for customers who run family alerts in PlusPat and want a display
of the extended patent family along with bibliographic details and abstracts.
To request Pluspat Family Report format in SDI Alerts:
- When using
QWEB, on the Create SDI screen, choose the Report- Merged
Family (PlusPat only) option from the Page
Style drop-down menu.
- When using command-line
entry, include the command PSET 6 in your SDI request.
