German Full-Text Patents Now Available
We are pleased to announce that German Full-Text patents are now available on Questel•Orbit. The files include:

DEFULLA - Applications (Offenlegungsschriften)
-
DEFULLB - Grants (Patentschriften)
-
DEFULLU - Utility Models (Gebrauchsmuster)
-
DEFULLT - German Translations of European Patent Documents (German translations of Claims are also available in EPBPAT)
Each record contains
the bibliographic data, abstracts, claims, descriptions and cited references;
first-page drawings are available as well.
The current
coverage of these files on Questel•Orbit starts in February 2005
and all are updated weekly. In the next few weeks these files will include
2004 and the missing 2005 data, and by the 4th quarter 2005, will include
data back to 1987.
Pricing: Free
connect time and record display until 2004 data is loaded, then will
be priced the same as the other full-text patent files. The German Full-Text
patent files will be available within QPAT in the next few weeks.

Patent Delivery
Service, also known as PDS, is our comprehensive electronic patent copy
service and has just been enhanced for ease-of-use and the addition
of new features for the power user.
The PDS interface has been redesigned making it more intuitive than
ever and the downloading, printing, and emailing features have been
“bulked-up” saving you time and energy in handling large
numbers of patent orders.

Bulk Download: Once the patents are in your portfolio, you can now select them and bulk download them onto your computer, instead of having to do this one at a time.

Bulk Print: You can now, in one step, print multiple patents.

Bulk Email: If one of your customers has requested a number of patents; now they can all be included in one email instead of multiple emails

Within the next
few weeks you will be able to export results from FamPat and all the
Full-Text Databases into PatentExaminer. The advantage is that the records
will be organized by FamPat family as well as all the available corresponding
Full-Text and electronic facsimile (patent copies) automatically delivered,
making it easier for you to scan, evaluate, examine the patents within
your portfolio.
If you are
currently a PatentExaminer subscriber or customer, all your current
files will automatically be updated and sorted by FamPat family, and
your existing annotations and highlighting will be maintained.

Japanese customers will no longer experience downtime at 3:00 GMT concerning
key databases. As for the other databases, a message "Database temporarily
unavailable" will appear during a shorter period around 12:00 PM
(Japanese Time) during the update of the databases.
