What's New in Patents
A New Markush Darc Software
for a New Merged Markush Service (MMS)

Questel
Orbit and the French National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI: www.inpi.fr) release the Markush Darc Software on a Unix Platform.

This new software version, dedicated to the Merged Markush Service (MMS), was developed to offer faster and more flexible searches and to open new intranet and in-house capabilities. After thorough internal and user beta testing, this new software is now available on QuestelOrbit to provide a new MMS.

MMS, the structure file produced by INPI and Thomson Scientific, provides the largest Markush structure coverage available online with 1,600,000 structures records representing 450,000,000 specific real and prophetic structures.

This product is derived from many years of identifying and indexing the chemical and pharmaceutical innovations disclosed in the patent literature. All chemicals are covered from 1983 to present, and, for Pharmaceutical patents, the coverage goes back to 1978.

For additional information, please go to the MMS webpage or read our Press Release (PDF)
