| Senior patent data analyst job description
Questel is seeking to hire a senior patent data analyst to improve the company’s offering in professional patent search and analysis products. This is a temporary position to replace a person currently on sick leave.
Primary duties:
- Analyze patent data sources available from patent offices and third parties ;
- Liaise with technical personnel at patent offices on patent data issues ;
- Coordinate with marketing team to design patent data products ;
- Specify and plan the integration of new patent data sources in existing patent databases ;
- Coordinate with database development team for data integration, refining technical specifications, and validate data architecture choices ;
- Test new patent data products, oversee fixes from technical team ;
- Assist support team with complex patent data requests.

Job requirements
- 5+ years experience in working with patent data, preferably at a Patent Office or a patent information commercial provider ;
- BSc in information sciences or similar degree ;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, In both English and French ;
- Experience with data mining and/or text mining tools would be a plus ;

Frequent travel is the base of your position as it involves direct contact with IP specialists, giving presentations during the industry events, and attending conferences.

Job Details
We are currently looking for an Sales Engineer located in or near Shanghai, China. The person will be responsible for developing and executing long-term sales strategy for our families of products; identify and manage selected clients; and maintain relationships.
Objective:
Open the Shanghai market to our brands, and create a sustainable market through sales calls and marketing activities.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain client base via online Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM).
- Contact, present and negotiate with potential and existing clients.
- Monthly visits and reports on these visits.
- Participate in trade shows, events, and conferences.
- Train customers.
- Weekly and monthly reports on sales and results of marketing and promotional activates. |
