Shame on me! After reading Martin's last posting in this thread, I
went beck to my files and realised to my dismay that when expanding
Derwent formats for the British application in question I
mistakenly "exchanged" positions of the year and country code
(GB78- instead of 78GB-). No wonder that nothing showed up in the
Dialindex. My sincere apologies to everybody involved in this
thread for making so much ado about nothing.

What I still find a bit surprising in Martin's last posting are the
results of expanding the application number index in Dialindex
(file 411), after setting files 350/351. Martin's expansion lists
are clearly E-numbered, which implies selectability of items
appearing in the lists! Is this privilege, unavailable to ordinary
users of Dialog and Dialindex, routinely (?) granted to Derwent's
staff?

With best regards.
