A Key Milestone: The Inaugural Qthena User Group
January marked a major milestone for Qthena and our growing user community: the very first Qthena Connect in Munich. Bringing together corporate IP teams, law firms, and legal technology leaders, this event represented a unique opportunity for IP professionals to explore how secure, legal-grade AI can support their daily workflows while keeping attorneys firmly in control.
The inaugural user group also underscored that Qthena has entered a new phase of growth. We are scaling globally while continuing to prioritize the needs of IP attorneys and corporate counsel.
This milestone is a testament to the trust our clients place in Qthena and the impact our platform has on modern IP prosecution management.
A Two-Day Event Full of Insight and Collaboration
Qthena Connect Munich was designed to deliver both practical knowledge and forward-looking perspectives. Across two days, participants engaged in sessions led by some of Europe’s leading IP professionals:
- A Day in the Life of a Senior IP Counsel – Reinvented with AI
Dr. Henning Lütjens from Bayer shared a detailed walkthrough of the corporate IP lifecycle and how Qthena supports senior counsel in producing high-quality work products efficiently and securely.
- Responsible AI Adoption in Law Firms – Quality, Risk & Professional Standards
Barry Moore of Murgitroyd explored how leading IP law firms integrate AI into workflows while upholding professional standards, maintaining oversight, and delivering superior client service.
- Building the AI-Powered Law Firm of the Future
Henrik Aurell from AWA highlighted the strategic adoption of AI across one of Europe’s largest IP firms, emphasizing that deploying AI effectively is now a core competency for legal teams.
- Qthena Live Demo & Roadmap
Tony Afram, Founder & CEO of ipQuants AG, showcased the capabilities of Qthena today, from AI-assisted drafting to prosecution and portfolio review, and shared a glimpse into the roadmap for the future.
Across every session, one theme was clear: AI is not a replacement for attorneys; it is a tool to enhance legal expertise, protect work product integrity, and optimize workflow efficiency.
Forward: Growing the Qthena Community
The success of the first Qthena Connect demonstrates the appetite for collaboration, learning, and innovation within the IP community. We are excited to announce that Qthena Connect will expand to other major cities across Europe and beyond in the coming months, offering clients and users an ongoing platform for networking, sharing best practices, and contributing directly to the evolution of Qthena.
