Since our foundations, Questel has focused on technological leadership in the IP market. Technology for IP Intelligence
Questel emerged as a Big Data specialist decades ago when we first created comprehensive IP datasets for our clients. Today, we continually improve our cross-search capabilities based on semantic search competencies, machine learning, and neural networking techniques.
While IP data is increasingly available online, making connections between all the different datasets is not always straightforward. Our AI experts work on data curation and entity recognition using state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to generate modern analytics and provide business-oriented insights.
Technology for IP Portfolio Management
With our suite of Equinox IP management software at the core of our roadmap for intellectual property technology roadmap, we are integrating services and tools via secure API connectors.
From initial invention or brand submission to searching, drafting, filing, and prosecution, IP renewals, our goal is to create one single, integrated IP ecosystem for clients to manage their IP portfolios through a single log-in.

Technology for Image Search
Semantic search tools cover an important part of the trademark and patent clearance process, but they only provide part of the picture, hence we are investing in image recognition technology tools too.
Our image-recognition algorithm module in Markify ProSearch™ enables users to search images by simply uploading a file—and the module is now available for design searches too.
