Create Boolean patent search queries with ease simply by asking Sophia a question in natural language. Designed as an interactive assistant, Sophia Query serves as your personal assistant, helping you to build effective search queries that will identify the most relevant documents. Designed to provide focused rather than exhaustive results, Sophia was created to save you time and effort when creating patent searches on our powerful patent searching and analysis software Orbit Intelligence.
Click on the Sophia Query icon at the top right-hand corner of the Easy Search page or on the Easy Search bar at the top of the screen to open a pop-up window to start chatting with Sophia.
Simply ask what you want to search for (in any language), such as: “Find patents about drones and batteries”, and Sophia will automatically add synonyms and IPC classes to build a query in English. You can adjust the query by asking Sophia to add or remove keywords, classes, and jurisdictions, or reduce the search parameters by specifying inventors, assignees, filing dates, and patent status (e.g., alive or granted).
