Questel acquires Trademark search and watch specialist Markify

Global IP solutions provider Questel announced today the acquisition of Sweden-based Markify with 30 professionals, which will accelerate innovation within trademark search, watch, and brand protection.

Markify is a technology-driven SaaS company, that provides searching and watching services to trademark professionals. Markify has a strong reputation and proposes one of the largest collections of worldwide Trademark databases.

The trademark search algorithm was developed by a team of mathematicians, linguists, and computer scientists. The system is built on machine learning and statistical analysis and is continually upgraded and adapted to new countries, languages, and case law findings.

Questel already provides a wide range of brand management services from TM searching, watching, filing, and renewing. Questel also supports its clients throughout the trademark lifecycle with IP portfolio management software and operational excellence services such as cost management and  recordals.

This acquisition enriches the Questel offering with best-in-class data and analytics that support brands in marketing their assets and reducing commercial risks.

Beyond the completeness of the brand management offering, this new step allows Questel to gain autonomy in the content provided to its customers and fosters cross-selling opportunities.
